2022 Midterm Elections: How Did We Do?

The midterm elections are over, so let’s get together to see how well we did. Not in terms of who or what won, but in terms of the voting experience.

Voting rules vary according to where you live. Thanks to our national reach, Crossing Party Lines lets you hear perspectives from across the country. You might be surprised how different Joe’s experience was from yours in terms of:

Voter Registration (how and when and whether it is even required)
Absentee Voting (allowed or not)
ID requirements (photo ID, other, none)
When you can vote (early or day of)
Voting methods (Voting booths, by mail, drop boxes)
Voting technologies (By hand, via electronic devices, other)
How you vote (ranked choice or single vote)
Voter Pamphlets (provided or not, mailed or not, what’s in them)
At this meeting we’ll ask, What was your voting experience like? Was it easy or hard? Did you trust the process and feel your vote counted?

Please do your best to arrive at the beginning of the meeting – once we are in breakout rooms and the conversations have started, the meeting doors close to new arrivals. The breakout rooms open (and the doors close) approximately 15 minutes after the hour.
