Dr. Carolyn J. Lukensmeyer served as the first Executive Director and currently serves on the Advisory Board of the National Institute for Civil Discourse, which works to engage differences productively and reduce dysfunction and incivility in our political systems and public life.

Joe Weston is an international trainer, author, lecturer, consultant, coach, professor, and an advocate for lasting peace. With a career spanning 30+ years in the fields of conflict prevention, leadership, stress management, and communication, he serves executives, corporations, government agencies, and nonprofits globally.
