Jewish Changemakers Fellowship Screening of PURPLE, followed by Skill-Building for Communicating Across Divides

Resetting the Table

Location: Online

*Restricted Attendance. PURPLE, a new short documentary from political mediation organization Resetting the Table (RTT) and Emmy-Award-winning Transient Pictures, tells the story of everyday Americans with opposing viewpoints addressing their differences on work ethic, the role of government, privilege, and the social safety net. Filmed in rural Wisconsin, PURPLE is an uplifting and humanizing look into what healthy discussion of charged political issues can look like. PURPLE and its accompanying Discussion Guide are designed to provide communiity leaders with a toolkit for bridging political divides in their communities.

In this session, Melissa Weintraub, the Founding Co-Executive Director of Resetting the Table and one of the creators of PURPLE, will present a screening of the 20-minute film followed by a live interactive discussion including skill-building for difficult conversations across political divides.

This is a private event for the Jewish Changemakers Fellowship. There will be a public screening of PURPLE on 6/15, following by communication skill-building for productive discussion of charged issues across divides. Click here to sign up.

Resetting the Table is distributing the film and Discussion Guide as free resources to religious communities and other community organizations. If you are interested in bringing PURPLE to your community or network, please visit us at www.resettingthetable.org/purple.
