Talk With The Cops
What will it take to repair fractured relationships between communities and police? Ask police leaders yourself as we talk with the cops.
Join us for a very special virtual event during the National Week of Conversation 2021. Our guests will be Chief Jim Bueermann (ret.) a 40-year police leader and former president of the National Police Foundation, and Chief Ronnell Higgins, currently Chief of Police at Yale University since 2011 and a 20 year veteran of policing.
Talk with the Cops will feature police chiefs, citizens and mediators talking about the hard, messy problem of police reform and the police-community relationship. This dialogue will also seek answers, such as: What are we trying to achieve? Can we find common goals? Can we find common outcomes that both the police and the community can embrace and work toward? Our belief is that we can, but we first have to start talking.
Register now to join them for a Zoom conversation moderated by Police2Peace and the Mediators Beyond Borders Police and Community Relations Working Group posing questions and continuing the conversation about how we can meet in the middle with empathy for one another and restore public trust and confidence in the police by talking with the cops.
