A Conversation with the Honorable Pete Buttigieg

The Center for Political Future invites you to join a virtual discussion with Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and CPF Director Bob Shrum on Tuesday, October 24 from 1 to 2 pm. Secretary Buttigieg will interact with students from the USC Political Union, Trojan Democrats, and the USC College Republicans. The virtual audience will have the chance to submit questions through Q&A.

Pete Buttigieg currently serves as the 19th United States Secretary of Transportation. In his time in this position, he has re-organized the internal policy structure of the department and has worked to improve transportation safety, create new jobs, support innovation, and further climate goals. Pete is a former 2020 Presidential candidate, and previously served as the 32nd mayor of South Bend, Indiana.

Bob Shrum is the Director of the Center for the Political Future and the Carmen H, and Louis Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics at USC Dornsife. A legendary political strategis, he was once described as “the most sought-after consultant in the Democratic Party,” by The Atlantic Monthly.
