A Conversation with Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-AK)

USC Center for the Political Future

Location: Online

Lisa Murkowski, United States Senator (R-AK), joins Center Director Bob Shrum to discuss her decades-long efforts to bridge partisan divides and promote sustainability efforts.

She is the first Alaskan-born U.S. Senator to represent her home state – a seat she’s held since 2002. Sen. Murkowski has consistently been ranked as one of the most bi-partisan members of Congress.

This month she led a bipartisan legislative effort, with Senator Manchin, to ban Russian energy imports into the U.S. As a senior member of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee and member of the Senate Climate Solutions Caucus, she pursues policies to advance renewable energy, increase energy efficiency, and make America’s energy more affordable, reliable, and cleaner.

This event is in celebration of Women’s History Month and is a partnership with the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future and the Wrigley Institute for Environmental Studies.
