A Golden Rule 1:1 Conversation for Polarized Times

This session offers an opportunity to dig more deeply into understanding the Golden Rule and what it can mean for your personal and public interactions in today’s polarized environment.   

It provides a chance for you to engage with another person to bring the Golden Rule front and center in your life and asks you to think about steps you might take to practice The Golden Rule in these polarized times.  

Through a paired, one on one conversation experience and structured conversation guide, you will explore insights into what The Golden Rule means to you and your partner. You’ll consider how you have succeeded in living by The Golden Rule in the past, as well as identifying areas in your life where it’s been difficult to practice. 

This session is co-sponsored by Braver Angels and the National Institute for Civil Discourse and will be lead by Donna Murphy, Director of 1:1 Conversations for Braver Angels and Cheryl Graeve, National Organizer and Golden Rule 20/20 program director for the National Institute for Civil Discourse.
