Abortion and the Supreme Court: Politics Over Law?

Join us on Tuesday, October 25th from 2:00-3:00 p.m. PT for an all-star panel discussion on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade

The event will be in person at the USC Tutor Campus Center room 227, and it will also be Zoomed, live streamed on social media, video recorded for YouTube, and audio recorded for The Bully Pulpit podcast. There will be a Q&A session, as well.

The event features:

Lee Epstein: Ms. Epstein is a Hilliard Distinguished Professor of Law at USC Gould School of law. She has authored and co-authored more than 100 articles and essays and 18 books. Her research centers around law and legal institutions, especially the behavior of judges.
Jessica Lall: Ms. Lall is the current President and CEO of the Central City Association of Los Angeles- an advocacy organization dedicated to enhancing the vibrancy of downtown LA and increasing opportunity in the region. She is serving as a Fall 2022 Fellow at the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future.
Mark Schoofs: Mr. Schoofs is a Pulitzer prize-winning professor of journalism at USC Annenberg where he leads the investigative journalism program. He has led investigative journalism teams at ProPublica, Buzzfeed, and the Wall Street Journal.
Bob Shrum: Mr. Shrum is the Director of the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future, and the Warschaw Chair in Practical Politics. A legendary political strategist, he was once described as “the most sought-after consultant in the Democratic Party,” by The Atlantic Monthly.
This event is a partnership between the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future, the USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, and the USC Gould School of Law.
