ALLYSHIP — A conversation hosted by Civic Dinners
Location: Online
“Stand by me,” sang Ben E. King in 1961. The famous song, originally an old gospel hymn, speaks to the spirit of allyship. Allyship is the act of standing by someone — and right now, perhaps more than ever, it’s important for us to stand by each other so we can stand as one. Allyship is a way we can act in solidarity with others who may face forms of discrimination and oppression that we don’t. This is a conversation about allyship and how allies can help ensure others have access to the opportunities that would allow them to really shine.
