Mindful Conversation Introduction – 3 part series

BreakBread World

Location: Online

Mindful Conversation is a transformational practice that challenges us to become more present in the flow of conversation.

About An Introduction to Mindful Conversation
On any given day we have tens if not hundreds of conversations. From chatting with the barista at the corner coffee shop to discussing projects at work to confiding our deepest most intimate feelings to a friend, our conversations can be relatively innocuous or hugely impactful.

Cumulatively conversations reverberate across time shaping the arc of our lives.

And yet, how much thought have we given to this thing we call conversation? How and where did we even learn to have a conversation?

What is Mindful Conversation?
Mindful Conversation is a transformational practice that challenges us to become more present in the flow of conversation. It is a practice where we learn to deepen our ability to listen, increase our capacity for curiosity and compassion, and take more agency as active participants in collaboratively shaping the conversations we truly desire. It’s a practice for our most common conversations and our deepest most intimate conversations. This is because Mindful Conversation connects us to our common humanity and helps us come more fully into relationship with ourselves, others, and our communities.

Participants will begin to develop a deeper and more expansive understanding of their beliefs and roles in conversation, begin to claim more agency, and learn to bring more creativity and aliveness to conversation.
