Civity Workshop: Connecting Across Difference

As part of the National Week of Conversation, Civity is excited to present a virtual workshop focused on connection across difference.

Civity is a national nonprofit organization that supports community leaders who want to create a welcoming culture. This workshop will help participants build “social muscle” in their communities, cultivating relationships of respect, empathy and trust across difference.

Participants will take away actionable strategies that are grounded in cross-cutting social science research and can easily be incorporated into existing gatherings. The workshop will cover topics such as how to deepen conversations, how to establish authenticity through storytelling and active listening, and how to “put difference on the table.”
