Cleveland Conversation Initiative

More in Common – Podcast

Location: Online

Join us for a conversation event where we will focus on a critically important topic as we reopen society: do you feel our government is prepared for a situation like this if it were to happen again? What are your remaining concerns if there is a re-emergence of the COVID-19 virus?

This conversation will give you

  • The opportunity to connect with fellow Clevelanders
  • The opportunity to learn skills to manage your response during conversations on sensitive topics
  • The opportunity to practice your conversation skills while engaging in interesting and relevant conversations with neighbors

What you can expect at this unique event:

At this event, you will engage in small group conversation. The topic will be decided ahead of time, though the goal is for each conversation to evolve through the group dynamic as you meet and learn to understand your neighbors. The event hosts will be there to help facilitate and, if necessary, calm any conversations that escalate.

Additionally, the event hosts will be there to facilitate and, if necessary, help calm any moments that escalate.

This structure is designed to make it as easy for you to be comfortable and honest with your thoughts to focus on the connections you are making.

The Cleveland Conversation Initiative is on a mission to invigorate the feeling of community in the Cleveland area during this very divisive time. We want to bring people together and help Cleveland be an example for what is possible in communities across the country. Let’s start unifying and reduce the efforts to divide us.
