Dialogue, Difference, and Democracy: An NDOD Seminar

Location: Online

The National Day of Dialogue is a nationwide movement that stands up to division and polarization. Founded by Ideos Institute, the National Day of Dialogue (NDOD) is supported by national and international organizations working to build trust, connection, and a more empathic future through the transformative power of dialogue.

Building upon the success of NDOD 2023, and in partnership with the National Institute for Civil Discourse, we are excited to announce a new NDOD lecture series titled Difference, Dialogue and Democracy. Beginning April 11, the series brings together experts in the field of dialogue to promote practices, norms, and tools related to democracy promotion, social cohesion, conflict transformation, and human flourishing. Each expert-led talk will be followed by a dialogue session, where participants can join small discussion groups to share their ideas, ask questions, and gain insights from participants across the nation.

Whether you attended the National Day of Dialogue or not, we hope you’ll join us to keep the conversation going! This series is completely free, virtual, and open to anyone interested in learning the skills of dialogue to work across lines of difference in service of preserving our democracy.
