Everyday Americans Bringing Common Sense to Congress
National Institute for Civil Discourse
Location: Online
Polarization has accelerated over the last 40 years. Just when we need it most, our capacity to address our differences effectively has also declined. So, what is happening to counter this problem? CommonSense Americans are part of the bright spots to help resolve this issue today!
In this session, we’ll share key principles and best practices for engaging our differences constructively across the political spectrum. We’ll discuss CommonSense American (CSA) and its keys to success in mobilizing over 53,000 everyday citizens and achieving striking success, three-for-three in the successful passage of issues in Congress.
Participants will hear from Members of Congress and everyday Americans who are part of the thousands transcending today’s bitterness by engaging around policy proposals wise enough to attract support across our divisions.
And finally, we’ll provide an opportunity for participants to engage in small group conversations and offer your thoughts around several of the top issues CSA members are currently considering, and choosing from, for this session of Congress.
