Film Discussion – What Killed Michael Brown?

Location: Online

We choose films that address social, political or cultural issues that are relevant to society today. They may highlight liberal-leaning, conservative-leaning or independent themes, or feature actors or directors from opposite sides of the political spectrum.

We’ll be discussing the film: “What Killed Michael Brown?”

This documentary focuses on the 2014 death of Michael Brown, a young Black man who was killed by a White police officer, and explores both the circumstances surrounding his death and what was going on in his community at the time. Conservative Black author Shelby Steele and his son, Eli Steele, made this film.

Watch the trailer here. You can view this film for a small fee on YouTube.

Be sure to watch the film before we meet on Zoom to discuss it!
