Dialogue Lab 2023: Building Bridges Through Dialogue
If you want peace, you don’t talk to your friends. You talk to your enemies. -Desmond Tutu
The practice of engaging critically and authentically with those you disagree with is an important competency and skill, especially in highly polarized and charged environments. Dialogue is fundamental to building this competency. Not only is it vital for those looking to engage in significant social change, it is a necessary ingredient for trust-building, and the bedrock for healthy communities and democracies.
For the National Week of Conversation, Ideos Institute invites you to join us for a week-long, 10-hour Dialogue Lab Intensive, and come away with the resources, skills, and confidence to participate in and facilitate community-building conversations that break down barriers and isolated thinking, and lay the groundwork for innovation, impactful initiatives, and inclusive environments.
Over the course of 10 hours (2 hours/day), you will benefit from:
- A neuroscience-backed and values-based model
- An experiential and practice-based learning environment
- Opportunities for reflective and practical application exercises
