Meet the Dann Sisters

Join Vote Nevada for a celebration of the Western Shoshone Dann Sisters.  Mary and Carrie Dann fought to protect the treaty-protected Ruby Valley in Northern Nevada for use by their tribe.  They struggled with the Bureau of Land Management for many years and never backed down.   The University of Reno, Nevada, recently posthumously awarded the sisters’ Ph.D.’s in humane letters.
