Passing local resolutions is the bedrock of democratic action. Join a discussion on how communities in Wyoming and Michigan have passed local resolutions to get money out of politics. Ken Chestek and Hank Meyers, heads of the American Promise Wyoming and Michigan chapters respectively, will discuss this process.
Just last month one of the most conservative cities in Wyoming, the city of Gillette, passed a resolution. In Virginia, we have four jurisdications which have passed local resolutions calling for getting money out of politics: Alexandria City, Country of Arlington, Charlottesville, and Falls Church. Let’s learn how we can make a difference by taking action on a local level.
