National Phonebank to pass the For the People Act in the Senate

The For the People Act would stop billionaires from buying our elections, increase election security, stop partisan gerrymandering and strengthen ethics and conflict of interest laws for politicians.

The Senate is preparing to release a historic compromise democracy reform bill that would pass the most important components of the For the People Act. This new version of the bill is expected to have majority support in the Senate, which means we’re closer to victory than ever – but we’re running out of time.

On August 12th, the data from last year’s census is going to be sent to the states, where politicians will use it to begin gerrymandering – redrawing voting districts in a way that rigs elections and allows politicians to pick their voters, instead of the other way around. This will create more broken elections for the next decade – unless we can stop it in Congress.
