Repairing the Breach in a Time of Toxic Polarization

Governor Polis will be joined by former Governor Bill Owens and Tim Shriver, CEO of the Special Olympics and co-founder of The Dignity Index.  A panel of religious leaders of differing theological views, are also part of the program and will discuss insights from faith that can be used to bridge political and cultural divisions.  

This event grows out of a National Governors’ Association initiative called Disagree Better.  The program’s purpose is to push back against the contempt for others of different views that has become so common in our culture. In this moment when relationships have frayed, we need to find our way back to each other as fellow Americans. Our common values and insights from faith traditions can help us to do that.
