Speakers:

Nan Swift, resident fellow, Governance Program of the R Street Institute. Previously, Nan worked for the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, where she was responsible for outreach to coalition partners, and as director of federal affairs for the National Taxpayers Union.

Taylor J. Swift, director of congressional engagement for the Rebuild Congress Initiative (RCI), an independent initiative of the Harvard Negotiation Project and Issue One. Before RCI, Taylor was the director of government capacity at the POPVOX Foundation. Earlier, Taylor worked for the House of Representatives Democratic Caucus under Leader Hakeem Jeffries. He helped establish the House Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress.

Philip Wallach, senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) and author of Why Congress. Before AEI, Dr. Wallach was a senior fellow in governance studies at the Brookings Institution. He was later affiliated with the R Street Institute and served as a fellow with the House Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress in 2019.
