Youth Councils: Harnessing the Power of Engaged Youth

Youth councils can be a great avenue for engaging young residents in civic life. During this webinar, we will discuss the traits that effective youth councils share and what cities can do to make their youth councils an authentic part of the decision-making process.

Attendees will hear from representatives of three youth councils, some of which were among this year’s All-America City Award recipients. Speakers will share the basics of setting up a youth council, ideas for strengthening an existing council, and give examples of projects on which youth councils can take a leadership role.
