In this land of promised opportunity, our nation seems to be falling short. The media provides dire warnings about what is likely to happen if “our people don’t win,” as if we just have to survive the end of the world.

The rapid pace of change has and will continue to radically transform our lives. American Future collects stories from everyday Americans about what they prefer their future life to be like. This library of “common folk stories” includes people from all over the United States, from all walks of life. They have dreams, like you do. They are involved in the lives of people close to them. Like you do. They do extraordinary things in the course of their daily lives to inspire us to be our best selves.
