Activist Theology Project

Mission:

  • Engage Across Differences

The Activist Theology Project is a collaborative team passionate about our commitment to the ethics and politics of en conjunto (togetherness). We are public theologians, justice advocates, and strategy-minded people situated in the hybrid space of church, social change, and the academy. We are a multiplicity of humans who have engaged one another to bridge radical differences.

This commitment to bridge compels the team to curate the three pillars of the Activist Theology Project, which are convening people curating a liberative relationality, creative digital engagement helping connect the dots motivating thought into action, and companioning that serves as the deep intentional practice of being with one another on this journey helping to build a movement committed to collective liberation and a more loving world. These three pillars create an undergirding on which other needs within this work might succeed. The Activist Theology Project recognizes that our collective need to speak change into the world often comes when persons of like and divergent minds think through possibility alongside one another. The work requires humility and patience. The work requires moral courage where disparate views find sanctuary. The work requires deep listening yoked with thoughtful conversation. You are encouraged to refer to us a “think tank for liberation using restorative conversation, creative advocacy and intentional partnership.”
