Based in Lexington, KY, the Council of State Governments is the nation's only nonpartisan organization serving all three branches of state elected and appointed officials. Founded in 1933, the council employs 372 staff and mobilizes 140 volunteers, generating $46.7 million in annual revenue while championing excellence in state government through research, policy analysis, interstate collaboration, and leadership development.
