Ballot Box: What Worries You?
Voting is one of the pillars of our democracy and trust in our voting system is key to the smooth transition of power between administrations. This year, lawmakers have been proposing and enacting changes – some restrictive, some expansive – to the ways voters can cast their ballots. Among others, these include changes to the rules regarding mail and/or absentee voting, voter registration, early voting, and election interference.
What concerns do you have that you think we should address? For example:
- Are we doing a good job ensuring that every ballot is valid?
- Are we giving all voters equal access to the polls?
- If you were in charge of voting in your city or county, how would you measure success?
Come prepared to share your experiences and observations from recent elections.
