Family Politics: That’s Entertainment?

An independent production company recently reached out to Crossing Party Lines to talk about a TV pilot focused on reuniting families that have become fractured because members have different belief systems than one another.

They hope to find people concerned that members of their family are developing beliefs that are becoming extreme, then show the process of experts bringing the family back together and overcoming their differences.

The question is, is this a good idea?

• Should the entertainment industry get involved in healing the divide?
• Will people want to participate?
• Will others want to watch?
