Finding Common Ground on the State of our Democracy
Location: In Person
CAN DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS AGREE ON HOW TO STRENGTHEN DEMOCRACY? JOIN POLITICAL VETERANS JAMES CARVILLE AND REINCE PRIEBUS AS THEY EXPLORE COMMON GROUND.
Pundits and historians have viewed the November midterms as critical to the future of American democracy. But can liberals and conservatives agree on the emerging narrative, and the steps that must be taken to strengthen our model of governance? Join Democratic political icon James Carville and former Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus on November 17, 2022, at 3 pm PT for a special conversation moderated by Bob Shrum, Director of the Dornsife Center for the Political Future at USC.
Carville and Priebus – as Bill Clinton’s lead political strategist and Donald Trump’s former White House Chief of Staff, respectively – bring vastly divergent perspectives to the critical question of how Americans of opposing political views can agree on a shared path forward to preserve our system of self-governance.
Common Ground Committee is honored to partner with the Dornsife Center for the Political Future at the University of Southern California to present this special conversation as part of the annual Warschaw Conference on Practical Politics.
This event is free, but registration is required. Get tickets now to attend in person at the USC campus, or register to view the conversation online.
