Immigration: Who are the Immigrants?

Opinions on immigration vary widely, and one of the explanations for why that is, is that our understandings of who the immigrants are is also quite varied. Are they predominantly criminals or predominantly individuals with much to offer and contribute to our society? Are they fleeing a life that is unbearable in their country of origin or seeking the American Dream? Of course, the views of our members are likely to be more nuanced than any of these simple answers. At this meeting we’ll explore the range of perspectives represented by those who attend.
