“Have you ever thought, “How in the world did this person make it into Congress?”

About this event

Whether from the right or the left, Americans are seeing more uncompromising and extreme candidates win elections and enter Congress. It makes you ask the question, “Where are these candidates coming from?”

At the Center for Election Science, we dug into 12 years and 485 primary elections to try and answer that question.

Join us on March 30th to learn about the changing realities of increasingly crowded U.S. Congressional primaries. Be a part of our interactive discussion of these trends, the downstream effects they have on U.S. politics and governance.

As well, we will discuss some of the simple turnkey solutions Americans can take. Learn how we can make room for new voices while taking away extremists’ main path to power.

The discussion is led by Chris Raleigh, M.S., a former Congressional campaign manager, now Director of Campaigns & Advocacy at The Center for Election Science.

Would you like to come in person? Join us for the event and a happy hour afterward.
